Vertical organic farming

City farms are commonly referred to as vertical farms. They are being erected in megalopolises where there is not enough free land, but there are unprofitable production facilities. Due to the arrangement of the beds in several tiers one above the other, this technology is capable of producing a larger yield compared to traditional agricultural farms. It is possible to grow plants on a city farm both in the ground and using a hydroponic system (the nutrient solution runs through the tubes, reaching the very roots).
